At the Living With Dignity Foundation (LWDF), we believe that compassion is most effective when backed by expertise. Registered in Tanzania (00NGO/R/8885) and headquartered in New York, we bridge global resources with deep local roots. As an independent nonprofit, our primary metric of success is the number of lives transformed. By addressing the root causes of social inequality, we help underserved individuals transition from a state of survival to a life of dignity and purpose. We are mission-driven, community-focused, and deeply committed to the greater good.

James Mogusu "Executive Committee"
James Mogusu is a Kenyan educator based in Nairobi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education Arts (English and Literature) from the University of Eldoret in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. Currently, James teaches English and Swahili at Language School in Kenya, where he has trained students from diverse countries including Austria, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Colombia, South Africa, Congo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.
Beyond teaching, James is a passionate gaming content creator, producing over 100 videos on YouTube that incorporate graphic design elements. Ambitious and eager to learn, he believes in seizing opportunities to achieve his goals and helping others, viewing all humanity as interconnected.
Raymond Saitoti "Executive Committee"
Raymond Saitoti is the CEO and founder of Great Image Expedition Ltd, a luxury safari and travel company based in Arusha,Tanzania.
Born and raised in a small village near the Serengeti, he has deep roots in Tanzanian culture and wildlife conservation. With extensive experience in tourism, Raymond is renowned for his storytelling abilities and commitment to sustainable travel, designing personalized tours that showcase Tanzania’s natural beauty.
His entrepreneurial background brings valuable insights to community development, emphasizing partnerships for long-term impact.
Emmanuel Magesa "Program Manager"
Emmanuel Magesa Michael is a Tanzanian sociologist with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from St. Augustine University of Tanzania (2010-2013). With the experience of 3 years working in research institution, He is a quick learner with strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) and a focus on community development.
Also with the experience of 1 Year in Maternal health outcome in HIV affected population including nutrition demands for birth outcome and the burden of Maternal mortality attributes to HIV. In research we done it by (Mwanza International Trials Unit) MITU and case study area was Misungwi district in Mwanza region Tanzania.
As LWDF-TZ Program Manager, he guides health and poverty alleviation efforts, drawing from research experience in maternal/child health projects.
Rosemary Ndongo "Chief Accountant "
Rosemary Mohamed Ndongo is a Tanzanian accountant with a Diploma in Management and Accounting from Moshi University College of Cooperative and Business Studies (2010-2012).
With 6+ years in hospitality finance at Asilia Lodges & Camps Ltd, she excels in cash management, park fees, VAT returns, withholding tax, asset verification, and bank reconciliations.
Her detail-oriented skills ensure fiscal accountability for LWDF-TZ’s empowerment programs.
Wakwanio Ndegeleki "Administrative Manager"
Makwani Juma Ndegeleki is a Tanzanian educator with a Bachelor of Science in Education from St. John’s University of Tanzania. He has teaching experience at Bihawana High School and reservation management at Great Image Expedition Ltd.
As LWDF-TZ Administrative Manager, his communication and problem-solving skills support administrative operations for health and vocational initiatives.
ELLY GIDEON (Finance and Operations Specialist)
Elly Gideon is a professional with over 7 years of experience in hospitality financial management and administration. He served as Lodge Accountant at Andbeyond Tanzania Ltd, where he managed budgets, payroll, inventory, stock control, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency. Holding a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha.
Elly brings strong financial oversight and problem-solving skills to LWDF-TZ,
supporting transparent and sustainable operations for the foundation’s empowerment programs.
MICHAEL DENNA MKWASHAPI (HIV Research & Epidemiology Specialist)
Michael Denna Mkwashapi is a Senior Research Officer at the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) Tanzania and Honorary Lecturer in Epidemiology at the Catholic University College of Health and Allied Sciences. With over 15 years of experience and more than 60 peer-reviewed publications, his work focuses on HIV/AIDS epidemiology, maternal and child health, antiretroviral treatment outcomes, and the integration of non-communicable diseases with chronic HIV care.
Michael brings advanced research, data analysis, grant-writing, and policy expertise to LWDF-TZ, strengthening the foundation’s HIV awareness, prevention, and health programs for vulnerable women and children in rural Simiyu. His experience in differentiated service delivery and health systems innovation will directly support evidence-based initiatives that replace fear with facts and promote long-termdignity.
